Pilot policies

Pilot terms of use.

Rules for the site that exists today, without suggesting a seat can already be booked.

Scope and acceptance

These terms apply to the public DuoVoie site and its forms. By using the site or submitting a form, you accept these rules. Access creates no transportation, brokerage, booking, employment, agency or partnership agreement with DuoVoie.

Operator identity

DuoVoie is currently the pilot name. The operator’s legal name, business address, email, phone and, where applicable, business number must be published before any booking or payment. Their current absence is a disclosed launch limitation, not a waiver of that duty.

Future model and member relationship

Future features must remain incidental to non-profit carpooling: drivers post travel already planned for their own purpose; DuoVoie chooses neither destination nor time and dispatches no request.

At launch, transactional terms will identify the agreement between driver and passenger, the payment provider’s exact role, platform fees and responsibilities that law does not allow anyone to exclude. Members are not DuoVoie employees, agents or representatives.

Future eligibility and checks

The public pilot is intended for people aged 18 or older. Before real rides, licence, vehicle, insurance, identity and age criteria will be disclosed. Verification reduces some risk but does not guarantee identity, driving, insurance, conduct or ride completion.

Announced free launch

Signup and DuoVoie platform fees are planned at $0 during launch. This does not remove the driver cost-sharing contribution. No future fee may be added without displaying and accepting the total before booking.

Permitted use

  • Provide an email you control and accurate answers.
  • Use simulations only to evaluate the pilot.
  • Respect people, laws and intellectual-property rights.
  • Report vulnerabilities or problematic content through the contact form.

Future photos, ratings and comments

You remain responsible for photos and comments you publish and grant DuoVoie a limited licence to display them, adapt them to the site format and moderate them while published. You must hold the required rights and consents; no readable licence plate, private data, non-consenting person or image of a minor may appear.

A review can be posted only after the member completes the related booking. Fake or traded reviews, threats, harassment, discrimination, advertising and personal information are prohibited. Content may be reported, hidden or removed after human review, with an appeal channel for its author.

Prohibited use

  • Create false signups, impersonate anyone or automate submissions.
  • Bypass security, extract data, scrape the site or copy the service identity.
  • Submit payment data, identity documents, medical information or illegal content.
  • Present a simulation as a booking, use DuoVoie for professional transport or bypass the non-profit cap.

Content, marks and external links

The site, copy, interface, marks and graphics belong to their owner and may not be copied or exploited without permission except as allowed by law. External official links are informational; DuoVoie does not control their content or availability.

Suspension, availability and liability

DuoVoie may block submissions or suspend access for safety, fraud, abuse or legal requirements. The pilot may change, stop or close. Despite reasonable care, uninterrupted access and perfect accuracy are not guaranteed.

Nothing limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights, gross or intentional fault and statutory remedies.

Applicable law, language and changes

Subject to mandatory consumer protections and their competent forum, these terms are governed by applicable Québec and Canadian law. For a future adhesion contract, the French version will be provided before express agreement to contract in English is requested.

Material changes will be dated, clearly disclosed and not applied retroactively without a legal basis and proper notice. New terms will be accepted before accounts, postings, bookings or payments.
